Celebrated economic historian Dr. Stephen Davies recounts economic growth over the past 200 years (a 10-fold increase in average global wealth per person), the competitive innovativeness that powers it, and the problem of the fragility of modernity. He discusses a number of future risks, but the main one is that of establishing a global regime of rules and regulations that would stifle innovation and make the world fall back to static feudalism.
